Current involvement in sport: Safe Sport Lead at Sport Nova Scotia and volunteer fitness (spin and barre) instructor at the YMCA (Halifax).

Why True Sport: As Safe Sport Lead in Nova Scotia, my commitment is to work with stakeholders and partners to develop ways in which we can ensure sport is safe in Nova Scotia. Our work with True Sport has highlighted the importance of recognizing that if the goal is to achieve “great sport” experiences, the absence of harm is not enough. We must continue to find ways to ensure sport is safe by eradicating maltreatment as well as ensuring that participants feel welcomed, included and that sport remains fun for all.
