True Sport Marble Tool

Behaviour reminder

Are you looking for a creative way to address inappropriate parental behaviour? If so, the “Don’t Lose Your Marbles” tool may be just what you’re looking for. This simple tool serves as a way to remind  participants and spectators to maintain a level head and appreciate what sport is really all about – fun, fairness, inclusion and striving for excellence.

Here is how it works:

Step 1: Distribute a small ziplock bag containing one small glass marble and the poem below to participants, parents and league officials at the beginning of the season.

Step 2: Instruct those with the marbles keep them on hand at games and practices.

Step 3: In the unlikely (and unfortunate) event that they witness someone’s behavior getting out of line, instruct them to share the marble with the offender, without an exchange of words, as a reminder of the groups shared values and practices.

“Always Here for You”

Sometimes it seems we lose our way and want to scream and yell; the game becomes too stressful.

You think you’re about to “lose your marbles” and others around you think it’s true!

Just remember no matter what, it’s a game for fun and a good workout!

So just when you think you’ve lost them all, pull out 3 on 3’s gift to you.

It may be small and only one – this little, round glass ball; but it’s our way of saying: “You haven’t lost them all”!!!
